What’s a Cudighi? Try This Yummy Yooper Sandwich

A Cudighi sandwich is a beloved culinary specialty primarily found in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It’s renowned for its unique and delicious combination of flavors that have earned it a special place in the hearts of locals and visitors alike.
At the heart of a Cudighi sandwich is the Cudighi sausage itself, which is the star of the show. The Cudighi sausage is a distinctive ground pork sausage that is seasoned with a blend of Italian-inspired sweet spices, typically including a clove garlic, fennel, pepper flakes and paprika. This unique seasoning mix gives the sausage a bold, savory, and slightly spicy flavor profile that sets it apart from other sausages.
