For the owners of Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company, brewing coffee in Detroit was a dream.

When given the opportunity to occupy a 130-year-old building in Midtown, they jumped at it, and now this location – among others in Maple Theater, TCF Center, and Eastern Market – is a favorite destination for Detroit coffee lovers.

Since the opening of its original downtown Kalamazoo location, Water Street Coffee in west Michigan has grown considerably.
