For the owners of Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company, brewing coffee in Detroit was a dream.
When given the opportunity to occupy a 130-year-old building in Midtown, they jumped at it, and now this location – among others in Maple Theater, TCF Center, and Eastern Market – is a favorite destination for Detroit coffee lovers.

In the northern Michigan city of Petoskey, North Perk was created by a couple with the goal of fostering connections through providing fresh and excellent coffee.
Some time later, the same couple decided to expand into Boyne City with Lake Charlevoix Coffee Company, creating a pair of coffee shop twins.
Each coffee shop still fulfills the original goal, to provide high-quality coffee in a welcoming environment, to this day.
