It’s an exciting time, with fun Labor Day events (including the annual Mackinac Bridge Walk) happening all over the state.
It’s also time to bring on the fall, with changing leaves and bright foliage. There’s so mauch to do with Michigan cider mills and apple orchards in full swing, and sunflower fields

- Mackinac Bridge Walk

The annual Mackinac Bridge Walk on Labor Day is a well-known tradition in Michigan. Thousands of people take this opportunity to cross the Mighty Mack like they never have before, starting from either St. Ignace or Mackinaw City. Participants are permitted to walk halfway and turn around to return to their starting point but walking the full way across if you’re able is simply unbeatable.

Art on the Mountain is a free, weekend-long event including an art fair, featuring booths by over thirty local and regional artists; art activities and face painting for kids; silent art auction in the T-Bar ; live music by Marquette-area surf rockstars Ramble Tamble along with bonfires; free books on Saturday, a full-service, cash bar at the Marquette Mountain Resort T-Bar; and Marquette Mountain Resort will also have their Snowfield chairlift operating
