The sun is setting earlier and the nights get a little chillier every day. For a while, we get a spectacle of color in the trees until the leaves inevitably fall where they crunch beneath our feet.
These are the signs of autumn in Michigan and each year as they slowly but surely show themselves, we get into the fall spirit with pumpkin spice and cozy sweaters, but there’s another side to the fall season…
In October, the atmosphere grows increasingly spooky as Halloween approaches. We tell scary stories of ghosts and goblins that gobble up children or spellcasting witches and wild werewolves who wander the woods at twilight on haunted trails.
Then, we take it one step further and visit haunted houses to become part of these stories and become frightened by our own imaginations in real life.
