This top Michigan art fair is held in downtown Plymouth, MI near Northville, MI. Plymouth is about a half-hour’s drive from both Detroit and Ann Arbor. The fair is held in Kellogg Park Plymouth’s Main Street. Both the park and the streets surrounding the park are filled with more than 300,000 festival attendees.

What Is Art in the Park, aka the Plymouth Art Fair?
Art in the Park is a summer tradition in Plymouth, Michigan, drawing artists from all over the country.
Ranked as one of “Gems of the Great Lakes” by AAA Travel Magazine, this FREE event offers an opportunity to explore both fine art and beautiful downtown Plymouth, an upscale community in southeast Michigan.
With more than 400 artists displaying their work, you can wander the tree-lined park over three days. have your caricature drawn, watch a juggling show or even see a Living Mural! There’s live music including Roots Vibration, a local reggae band. There’s also live artists painting and performing throughtout the festival.
Downtown Plymouth is very walkable. Stop for a bite to eat or glass of wine at one of the restaurants, or do some shopping at the boutiques and shops, too.
Is the Plymouth Art Fair Kid-Friendly?
You’ll find live music and lots opportunities for children to be exposed to a create art. Find kids activities like face painting & glitter tattoos, sandy candy art, candle making, henna body art and balloon characters. Kids are also invited to help paint a mural!
Other fun kid-friendly activities include a comedy juggling show, and the My Adventure Theater, an interactive family-friendly theater.
Where Can I Park During Plymouth’s Art in the Park?
There is parking at different locations throughout the city of Plymouth, and some businesses and churches in the area allowed paid parking in their lots during the festival. We like the parking lot at the First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth, 701 Church St, Plymouth, MI 48170. It’s just a short walk to the fair from the church parking lot.
Shuttle Service to the Plymouth Art Festival
Your best bet to avoid the traffic at the Plymouth Art in the Park Festival is to take the shuttle service from Schoolcraft College in nearby Livonia. Schoolcraft College is located at 18600 Haggerty Rd, Livonia, MI 48152.
The shuttle service costs $6 round trip, kids 12 and under ride free. The shuttles include air-conditioning, restrooms, stroller storage, ADA wheelchair access and plenty of storage for ALL of your purchases on the way back.
Looking for Handicap Parking?
Additional temporary Handicap parking is added for the weekend, and is located along Union Street, between Penniman Ave. & Roe Street. please note that the shuttle service does offer ADA wheelchair access.
