If you’re an adrenaline junkie like me, you know there’s no better feeling than being in the front row of a rollercoaster.

Amusement parks are my ultimate happy place. Being surrounded by rides, hearing the screams of excitement all around, smelling the delicious food, seeing smiles on everyone’s faces, feeling the rush of anticipation when you get to the front of the line, it’s a day like no other.

Lucky for us, Michigan is home to many tourist attractions, amusement parks and theme parks, all ready and waiting.

Summertime is the perfect time to schedule a trip to one of Michigan’s exciting theme parks and amusement parks. Gather your family or a group of friends and get ready to make some memories.

Amusement Parks in West Michigan

Michigan’s Adventure Amusement Park and Michigan’s WildWater Adventure

Michigan’s Adventure Theme Park in Muskegon County is an amusement park and water park wrapped up in one. With over 60 rides, they have attractions for both kids and adults to enjoy.

Each ride is ranked by thrill level from one to five, so you’ll know what you’re getting yourself into. If you’re really wanting to get that heart rate pumping, get in line for the RipCord, Shivering Timbers, and Thunderhawk.

Looking for something more low-key family rides or fun for kids? Hop on the Frog Hopper, the Carousel, or the Giant Gondola Wheel. In the autumn, watch for the Tricks and Treats fall fest. If you have little ones who aren’t ready for the big rides yet, take them over to Camp Snoopy, which contains five family-friendly rides and a large climb-and-play structure with tons of interactive features and things to climb.

Don’t forget your bathing suit. You’ll want to experience the thrills of Michigan’s largest outdoor waterpark (it’s also Michigan’s largest amusement park).
