Visiting a reindeer farm during the Christmas season is one my favorite holiday events. Young, old, or even in between, you’ll delight in seeing one of Santa’s beloved animals. Take a road trip and tour a farm during the hustle and bustle of the holiday and relax in nature while you enjoy one of these Michigan reindeer farms.

Visit These Michigan Reindeer Farms

Rooftop Reindeer Farm  – 2706 E. Stevenson Lake Rd, Clare MI 48617

One of the most popular reindeer farms in the state can be found at Rooftop Landing. This thriving farm has been around since 1991, family owned and operated.

Through December 23, guests can visit Santa’s reindeer and enjoy a fun day of holiday fun.  Take one of the farms tours and see their mini Highland Cows and experience Santas reindeer up close. Rooftop Landing Reindeer Farm is a great spot for holiday and birthday parties, and the memorable reindeer tours are a fun school event, too. The rooftop reindeer at this Michigan reindeer barn spread holiday cheer that lasts all season long.

Grandpa Tinys Reindeer Farm – 7775 Weiss St, Frankenmuth, MI 48734

In the beloved town of Frankenmuth, Grandpa Tiny’s Heritage Farm offers a holiday spin with reindeer in training and visits from Santa. Visit their popular holiday event, Santas Reindeer Farm and experience the excitement of Santas farm and you’ll feel like you’re in the North Pole! Learn fun facts from the trainers and meet the reindeer before making an ornament to hang on your Christmas tree or in your home.

Reindeer Ranch in Kalamazoo – 2921 North 6th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009

Having started raising reindeer in 1999, family members of owners Gary and Carol Borton work to help visitors experience the fun of reindeer. Guided 30-45 minute tours of Reindeer Ranch help guests to learn more about reindeer and to see the herd.

Tickets: Weekdays $10 per person; Weekends $15 per person (under the age of 2 are free)

Antler Ridge Farms – 6259 M-72 East, Williamsburg, MI 49690

Come meet Cedar and Holly Hox at Antler Ridge Farms, located near Traverse City. Some of Santa’s favorite reindeer, these two friends reside on the farm and love to have visitors bring apples for them to snack on. This fun filled holiday can be complete with a horse drawn sleigh ride.
