Where to See Michigan Fireworks Displays in June 2023
Canton Liberty Fest Fireworks
June 16 – Heritage Park Canton
The popular Liberty Festival in Canton returns with four days of community fun in western Wayne County. The highlight here is the Friday night fireworks display.
The Ford Fireworks – Detroit
June 26 – Detroit Riverfront
One of the best Michigan fireworks displays is held in Detroit Michigan annually, the Ford Fireworks show is also known as Detroit’s summer kickoff. Detroit’s fireworks show is pretty spectacular: it’s a massive display with equally massive crowds, try to get there early if you plan to attend! Rochester Hills Festival of the Hills Fireworks
June 28 – Borden Park in Rochester Hills
The most popular fireworks show in Oakland County, you can join the thousands that gather at this sprawling park in Rochester Hills to watch the brilliant displays of color!
Royal Oak Fireworks 2023
June 29 – Red Run Golf Course
This annual fireworks display is for members of the Red Run Golf Course, but you might be able to catch a glimpse of the fantastic sky show if you’re in the area!
Bay City Fireworks
June 29- July 1
Take your pick of three evenings of amazing fireworks as the “City by the Bay” celebrates Independence Day with an amazing display over the river. You can find a spot on either side of the river in Veteran’s Memorial Park or Wenonah Park: both offer spectacular viewing.
Lexington Fireworks
Friday June 30 – Lexington Harbor
Just a short drive from metro Detroit, Lexington, MI is a convenient location to see a patriotic display of color over Lake Huron. Lexington, MI’s Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks is scheduled for June 30. Fireworks begin at around 9:30 p.m. by the harbor in Downtown Lexington. The sandy shores of this charming Michigan beach town in Michigan’s “Thumb” region, are a great place to watch the fireworks over the water.

Where to See Fireworks Displays in Michigan in July
Greenfield Village Fourth of July Fireworks
June 30, July 1 -2, 2023
Head to Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan for a stunning celebration and a “Salute to America.” The Greenfield Village fireworks begin on Friday night and continue on both Saturday and Sunday evenings. At dusk, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra performs in celebration of Independence Day. The evening will end with a stirring “1812” Overture performance, cannon fire and a brilliant fireworks finale.
Au Gres Fireworks
July 1 – Corner of Court St & South St near the Au Gres Water Tower
Snuggled along the shores of Lake Huron just south of Tawas in Arenac County, the cute little town of Au Gres is a perfect spot to view July 2 Fireworks in Michigan. The Arenac Fireworks Festival is scheduled for July 1. Fireworks begin at dusk on the corner of Court St & South St near the Au Gres Water Tower.
South Haven Light Up the Lake Fireworks
July 3 – North Pier
South Haven is known for having on of the most amazing Fourth of July fireworks shows in Michigan. The show begins at dusk with a fabulous fireworks display over Lake Michigan. There is viewing from Riverfront Park, and both North and South Beaches in downtown South Haven. The show coordinated with Music on Cosy 103.7 FM. Bonus: Can’t make it to the show? July 3 – Bayshore Park, Munising
Celebrate the 4th of July in downtown Munising with a day of activities, food, fun and music followed by one of Michigan’s best fireworks displays. Watch the magic display of color over Lake Superior!
Traverse City’s Fireworks at the National Cherry Festival
July 4 – West Grand Traverse Bay
Celebrate the grand and glorious Fourth of July and watch fireworks over Northern Michigan’s West Grand Traverse Bay. Great viewing spots can be found along the south end of West Grand Traverse Bay at Open Space Park, Clinch Park Marina, Bryant Park, and West End Beach.
Bay Harbor Fireworks
July 3- Village of Bay Harbor
Plan some extra time to explore beautiful Petoskey, MI, just down the road from Bay Harbor. You might want to head north along M-119 and take a scenic drive through Michigan’s famous Tunnel of Trees.

Dexter Daze Fireworks
August 11 – Monument Park, Dexter Michigan
Head over to this charming little town just outside of Ann Arbor for Dexter Daze, where you’ll find a celebration filled with music food, live entertainment and a cool display of fireworks over the lake.
Mackinaw City Summer Fireworks – All Summer Long
If you find yourself at the tip of the mitten on a Friday or Sunday evening this summer, you’re in for a special treat! Mackinaw City is putting on a spectaular display for fireworks over Lake Huron with the Mackinac Bridge as a backdrop. Bring your phones and camera to catch some amazing pix!
Pentwater Fireworks
August 10 – Pentwater Michigan
The Pentwater Homecoming is one of this West Michigan town’s biggest celebrations, with a Strawberry Shortcake Social, concert featuring the Pentwater Civic Band and Scottville Clown Band, Golf Scramble, Sand Sculpture Contest, Horseshoe Tournament, Big-Ten Preseason Tailgate Party, and even a pancake breakfast. The celebration is capped off with an amazing fireworks display at dusk!

September 2 – Brethren MI near Manistee
Catch the fireworks display of Lake Elinor on Labor Day weekend during the annual Brethren Days celebration.
Jackson End of Summer Fireworks Show
September 2 – Cascade Falls Park, Jackson MI
This Labor Day Fireworks display in Jackson MI is held at Cascades Park, you can enjoy music and food as you watch the colorful display for fireworks from the top of the falls. Admission is $7 Adults; $5 for children.

Michigan Fireworks All Summer Long
Fireworks Over the Bay – St. Ignace
See fireworks over the bay in downtown St. Ignace with the Mackinac Bridge as a backdrop. Every Saturday night from July 8th through September 2nd, fireworks will decorate the sky over Moran Bay. Visitors can enjoy the display from the Huron Boardwalk, area restaurants and motels, or even just strolling through the business district.
LMCU Ball Park Summer Fireworks Displays– Comstock Park
If you’re headed to the Fifth Third Ball Park outside of Grand Rapids to watch the West Michigan Whitecaps, the farm team for the Detroit Tigers, you’re in for a treat. This minor team not only puts on a family-friendly game of ball, but they also have some great fireworks shows after some select games throughout the summer.
