Parking & Shuttles at the Cherry Festival
Parking in downtown Traverse City can fill up quickly during the festival, so I always recommend arriving early or using the convenient shuttle service. The city offers several public parking decks and lots near the festival grounds, like the Larry C. Hardy and Old Town Parking Decks, as well as metered street parking. Special event rates may apply during peak festival days.
To make things even easier, the Bay Area Transportation Authority (BATA) runs a free Cherry Festival Shuttle (Bayline) from major park-and-ride lots, including Meijer, Northwestern Michigan College, and Woodland Creek. Shuttles run every 15 minutes and drop you off right near the action.
