Wedding Venues in Southeast MI
The Inn at St. Johns Resort

Located on the sprawling grounds of a former seminary, the Inn at St. Johns combines luxury and tradition in a quiet, natural setting. The fourth largest golf and events center in in southeast Detroit, you’ll find classic romanesque architecture, marble floors, handcrafted woodwork and majestic stonework throughout the building. The banquet hall and hotel at Saint Johns Resort are attached to a stately, historic wedding chapel, too, so you and your guests won’t have to go far for the reception.
You’ll find a stunning Atrium that seats up to 180 guests, but there are three other spaces for wedding receptions, too, including a Grand Ballroom. This is a very unique space for a wedding, and one of the most popular venues located in Michigan. Located about 30 minutes from both Detroit and Ann Arbor, MI, it’s convenient for out-of-town guests, too.
Planterra Conservatory
7315 Drake Rd, West Bloomfield Township, MI 48322
This botanical garden venue outside of Detroit gives you an indoor wedding with an outdoor feel with glass ceilings and walls so you can see the night sky or let natural light into your photos. Weekend-long stays turn this into a destination wedding site, and their indoor and outdoor ceremonies and receptions can hold up to 200 guests, making this the perfect garden wedding venue. This is by far my personal favorite venue because of the iconic setting and incredible ambiance.
The Colony Club
2310 Park Avenue, Detroit, MI
If you are looking for a large wedding venue, this is a great choice and one of my favorite Detroit wedding venues. The Colony Club in the heart of downtown Detroit can accommodate up to 400 guests in the 3rd Floor Grand Ballroom and 150 guests in the 4th Floor Petite Ballroom. The elegant architecture of the Colony Club Detroit gives a classic feel for your wedding ceremony and when paired with the ballrooms for the reception you are guaranteed a night to remember fondly.
The Gem Theatre
333 Madison St, Detroit, MI 48226
The second in the duo from Gem Colony Events, the Gem Theatre is a historic theatre in downtown Detroit that turns your wedding into a stage-worthy production. Couples can get married on the impressive stage in the Gem Theatre for larger weddings up to 275 guests or hold a more intimate ceremony in the Century Theatre for 80 guests. The architecture in both rooms will give your wedding and reception a feeling of elegance and sophistication.
Zingerman’s Cornman Farms

If you are looking for an intimate, small wedding then you’ve found the perfect venue at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms near Ann Arbor Michigan. While they do have options for bespoke weddings with 100 guests, they specialize in their unique Elopement, Intimate, and Tiny Wedding packages.
Cornman Farms is an award winner, too. Recognized by Brides Magazine as one of America’s Best Wedding Venues, this plantation style home offers several beautiful settings for your ceremony and reception, including a Red Barn package for outdoor celebrations that have the rustic yet classy style.

The waterfront patio has an adjoining banquet and reception space, so there is a picturesque setting throughout the entire wedding. It’s location in Port Huron and views of the Blue Water Bridge makes the Doubletree by Hilton a perfection weekend destination wedding.

Journeyman Distillery

One of southwest Michigan’s Prettiest banquet centers, this award-winning wedding venue is perfect for large, rustic farmhouse style celebrations. The Warren Room holds up to 500 guests, The Still Room fits 150 guests, and The Grainery can fit 150 guests. The Grainery is my personal favorite.
Its 93” tall windows and views generate an ambiance that gives you an unforgettable wedding. There is just something about a wedding dress in a rustic setting that creates a timeless look in all of your photos.

The Bay Pointe Woods can host a celebration of up to 300 guests, while the Boathouse Villa fits between 40 and 150. The Fireside Banquet Room has an even more intimate setting with capacity at 72 guests. Blythefield Country Club

Located just outside of Grand Rapids the Blythefield Country Club accommodates indoor and outdoor weddings beautifully. The Ballroom hosts weddings with 200 guests and the Outdoor Grove has room for up to 250 guests. Both options have access to the picturesque grounds around the country club, including the rustic style bridge. This elegant country club is an excellent option for any wedding.
North Michigan Wedding Venues
Blue Bridge

The Blue Bridge venue produces some of the most iconic wedding photos I’ve ever seen, and it has always been on my short list for wedding venues in Michigan. Located near Traverse City, it is an elegant and sophisticated property while maintaining its rustic charm. The unique venue has two separate spaces for your ceremony and reception.
The Bridge Chapel/Centre can host up to 260 guests and has an open-air feature when the weather permits. The Blue Chapel/Centre has an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception option that can host up to 150 guests. Both spaces are gorgeous and idyllic, excellent options for any wedding looking for a rustic yet elegant feel.
Castle Farms

Castle Farms is a famous wedding venue in north Michigan, making it an ideal site for a destination wedding. This space can facilitate classic styles, garden styles, dramatic and romantic and everything else you could want for a wedding.
Between the different rooms that Castle Farms have to offer weddings here could be between 70 and 350 guests. There are also four summer options and three winter options, which are all beautiful and elegant.
Mission Point Resort

Mackinac Island is the premiere location for destination weddings in Michigan, and Mission Point Resort is the most popular wedding venue on the island. They have three different ceremony options ranging from 15 guests to 300 guests, and five different reception areas that can hold anywhere from 48 to 350 guests.
The Sound Stage is the largest site to hold your reception and was used to film “Somewhere in Time,” the iconic movie that Mackinac Island is known for. Whichever room or backdrop you choose, Mission Point Resort is guaranteed to fulfill every desire. For outdoor wedding venues n Michigan, it doesn’t get much prettier than this.

The Mackinaw Trail Winery & Brewery is the perfect place for a vineyard wedding. A vineyard wedding pulls together the elegance of a resort wedding and the rustic charm of a farmhouse or barn wedding. The result is a magical combination, and this venue is the perfect example. Their gazebo overlooks a pond and patio where your guests can celebrate alongside you while getting the experience of a north Michigan winery and brewery.
