Shanty Creek’s three villages and lodges (Schuss Mountain Lodge, Cedar Village Lodge, and the Lakeview Hotel) all have indoor pools or hot tubs as well as dining and shopping on premise. The snow tubing park is one of the best in the state, in my opinion.
Why I Like It: Shanty Creek and Schuss Mountain are very versatile if you have skiers and non-skiers in your party. Not only do they offer a great beginner Michigan ski experience, but the equipment rental service here is excellent. They can outfit ages 13+ and kids ages 12 and under, so if you don’t have your own skis or snowboard, you’re covered.
