Funtown Chowdown Food Truck Festival –  Frankenmuth, MI

If you’re looking for a great food truck festival, Frankenmuth’s Funtown Chowdown Food Truck festival is the place to go. All summer long, Frankenmuth will hold this food truck festival the second Thursday of every month. Stop by on May 8, June 12, July 10, August 14, and September 11 to enjoy the food from over 20 different food trucks! 

With a variety of Michigan foods, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Listen to some live music while you try lots of different foods, and sip on some craft beer and non-alcoholic beverages.

Roll’N Out Food Truck Festival -Grand Rapids

For one day in May, Grand Rapids hosts the Roll’N Out Food Truck Festival at Calder Plaza. With over 45 food trucks that feature all different kinds of food, there is something for everyone at this festival! 

The Roll’N Out Food Truck Festival has grown to become the largest food truck festival in Grand Rapids. This festival promotes food truck culture in the city and it’s a great way to support local businesses. 

Enjoy live music while you are tasting all of your food truck finds. Kids are also welcome to play in the Kids Activity Zone!

It is important to plan ahead with parking because many of the streets will be closed for the food trucks. It would be smart to carpool and park outside the festival and walk to the food trucks!

Come visit Calder Plaza for the day and enjoy food from Arcane Pizza, Crepes by the Lakes, Kona Ice, Waffle Stix, and so many more food trucks! 

June Food Festivals in Michigan

Strawberry Festival – Belleville, MI

What started as a way of celebrating the strawberry crops turned into a National Strawberry Festival. From June 14 to June 16, 2025, celebrate Michigan’s famous strawberries!

Cereal Festival – Battle Creek, MI
June 14, 2025

The breakfast staple came right from Battle Creek, Michigan, and their annual Cereal Festival celebrates the breakfast of champions.  On June 14, 2025, Battle Creek will host an all-day festival with live music, a variety of vendors, and a free cereal breakfast in the morning.

Cherry Festival- Traverse City, MI
June 28- July 5, 2025

If there is one thing Michigan is known for, it’s for our cherries. 

From June 28 to July 5, 2025, Traverse City will be hosting the annual National Cherry Festival. People from all over the country flock to the picturesque Traverse City, Michigan to enjoy a week of all things cherries. July 25 & 26, 2025

Michigan’s longest-running beer festival takes place every summer in the charming riverside setting of Ypsilanti’s historic Depot Town. Hosted by the Michigan Brewers Guild, the Summer Beer Festival features hundreds of fresh, local beers from the state’s best craft breweries.

Guests 21 and over are invited to sample a wide variety of Michigan-made brews with 15 tasting tokens included with admission (more available for purchase). The two-day event offers:

  • Friday: Beer tastings + live local music
  • Saturday: Tastings end at 6PM, followed by full pours and a concert featuring Keeler and The Keels

Festival food vendors will be on-site, and live Michigan bands keep the energy going all weekend. Whether you’re a seasoned craft beer fan or just want a fun, flavorful day outdoors, this inclusive event is a summer must.

Cheeseburger in Caseville Festival – Caseville, MI
August 8 – 17, 2025

Celebrating its 27th anniversary in August 2025, the Cheeseburger in Caseville Festival is one you don’t want to miss out on! 

This 10-day festival features cheeseburgers (of course), the Parade of Tropical Fools, various beach activities that include sandcastle building competitions, yoga by the beach, paddle boarding, kayaking, and more! 

Participate in the Cheeseburger Fun Run in the morning, and cap off your night with a good concert.  You will not want to miss out on these week-long festivities! 

Blueberry Festival  – South Haven, MI 
August 7-10, 2025

You don’t want to miss out on Michigan’s famous Blueberry Festival! From August 7 to August 13, 2025, South Haven, Michigan will be celebrating their blueberry harvest. As one of the country’s oldest continuously-running fruit festivals, people from around the nation come to visit this little lakeside town for an opportunity to taste our world-famous blueberries. 

While you’re popping blueberry after blueberry into your mouth, enjoy some live music throughout the day, peruse the Blueberry Festival Craft Fair, and laugh at your kids when they partake in all of the kid-friendly activities. If you’d like to get a good morning workout in, enter in the 5K run/walk! But be sure to treat yourself to a big slice of blueberry pie after you cross the finish line–you deserve it!

Humongous Fungus Festival- Crystal Falls, MI
August 1 – 2, 2025

For small town Crystal Falls in the Upper Peninsula, the Humongous Fungus festival celebrates their famous Armillaria gallica fungus colony and brings new life to the town’s businesses. The Armillaria gallica fungus colony that stretches across 37 acres, weighs in at 21,000 lbs, and is around 1,500 years old.

This is definitely something to celebrate! In August, the town shows their appreciation for their mushroom with the Fungus Fest Parade, lots of vendors with great food, and golf, volleyball, softball, and more! 

The festival concludes with an amazing fireworks show. You will want to experience this unique food festival! 

September Food Festivals in Michigan

Peach Festival  – Romeo, MI
August 29 – September 2, 2025

What better way to spend Labor Day weekend than to enjoy the famous Peach Festival? 

Come to Romeo, Michigan to munch on fresh peaches, roam around the craft shows, and try every peach-flavored treat in sight at the markets. Your mouth will water as you walk through the markets and see the peach pies, donuts, cobblers, jams, jellies, and more. 

The festival also has various carnival rides, so enjoy a wild coaster ride! (but preferably before you eat a thick slice of peach cobbler!)  Start your morning with a 5K or 10K run, and close the night with a parade. 

Also, no need to stress about transportation. Free shuttles can pick you up from various parking lots to get to the center of the festival. Come out to the Peach Festival for a weekend of fun, even if you just stop by to pick up some delicious peach jelly to spice up your morning toast.

Fudge Festival  – Mackinac Island, MI
October 2-4, 2025

If Mackinac Island, Michigan wasn’t already worth the visit for its iconic views and aesthetic lifestyle, they hold an annual Fudge Festival to showcase their world-famous fudge. As the fudge capital of the world, you need to make the trek up to Mackinac Island for a taste of their mouth-watering fudge.

November Food Festivals in Michigan

Grand Rapids International Wine, Beer, and Food Festival

November 21, 2025

If you’re looking for a more upscale food festival, The Grand Rapids International Wine, Beer, and Food Festival is the event for you. Taste-test wine, beer, and food from all over the world at the DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 

You must be at least 21 years old to attend this event. Admission tickets cost $20, but you will need tasting tickets to try the different beverages, which are 50 cents each and can be added on to your admission price. Tickets are only sold in advance, so be sure to plan ahead! 

Transportation is nothing to stress about! A trolley can take you to DeVos Place, and there are many stops along its route. You can also take the Silver Line Rapid Bus to avoid walking or driving. 

While you are tasting drinks and food from all over the world, enjoy some live music throughout the day. Join in on the fun and experience this unique opportunity to try drinks and food from different countries all around the globe!
